Combining Athletic and Human Development with the MasterFlow Training System™ Goal Development Dashboard
Last month we held our first Personal Goal Achievement Workshops with High Impact Fastpitch. During the workshop, players learned to integrate human development alongside their athletic goals. To help our our athletes and parents follow their developmental progress, we’ve developed the Goal Development Dashboard for the MasterFlow Training System™.
Continually tracking goal progress can help players build a growth mindset in sports and life. Maintaining a growth mindset is key to personal development on and off the field, and plays a crucial roll in High Impact’s human development initiatives. Realizing our mission of every player achieving their full potential in life requires long term commitment from players, coaches, and families. Coaches in our system help players work towards their goals and will periodically review their dashboard. Experts believe focusing on 2-4 goals at one time can maximize the likeliness of your success. We believe the most important areas for youth athletes to focus on are academics, athletics, personal, and financial.
1. Tracking Athletic Development
The MasterFlow Scorecard™ report breaks down each player’s skill level into smaller micromeasures. After each season, their progress in specific areas is charted in their dashboard. Seeing how they improve overtime can help players better plan their athletic goals.
Academic and Collegiate Goal Monitoring
Our player’s overall academic goal is centered around college preparation and acceptance. The goal development dashboard includes a GPA goal, SAT/ACT goal and a list of colleges they are interested in.
Planning Fundraising through Sports Angels
A unique opportunity for players and families is utilizing our non-profit affiliate, Sports Angels, to offset the fees associated with participating in their sport. Each player’s Sports Angels goal is included in their dashboard, and throughout the season they can monitor their fundraising efforts.
High Impact Sports will continue to hold goal development workshops for our players and the community. The coaches, trainers and staff at High Impact Sports are committed to helping all players succeed in setting and achieving their goals. We look forward assisting our players progress as athletes and young adults!

Post Winter Season Report from High Impact Fastptich – Tracking Team Progress with the MasterFlow Training System™
This winter our Fastpitch club participated in a training program structured to build skills and athleticism to prepare them for the upcoming high school season. Our program included intensive, position-specific defensive training, weekly hitting practice, and performance training sessions. Several new players took advantage of our free week of training and evaluation process, and the club continues to grow. After our winter training, the team experienced a 15% overall improvement across several Fastpitch skill areas.
Tracking each player’s skill improvement with our MasterFlow Training System™ allows for a comprehensive report on the team’s development. Taking the average of all players’ progress can help coaches show the overall growth and key areas of improvement for their teams. These reports can also be used to inform players and their families on how their training is paying off. Continual monitoring and reporting can be a crucial tool for pushing a team to perform at a high level.
Positive Coaching Alliance Resource from Board of Directors Member Mark Setterstrom
Creating a welcoming environment for new players translates into real results on the field. In this feature for Positive Coaching Alliance, Julie Foudy, former U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team member, two time World Cup winner, and Olympic Gold Medalist speaks on the power of creating a supportive team culture.
“As a former captain, Foudy places a lot of importance on creating team culture and on accepting teammates. Foudy helped create this culture of togetherness by reinforcing a competitive environment on the field. Every player worked hard, from starter to new member, and that was what drove the team to success. She urges other leaders and captains to make similar decisions, exercising their power to define their team culture.”
